Following the main coastal road heading towards the island's north coast, passing the popular resorts of Alykes, Kontokali and Gouvia en route, continue through Ag.Vassilios and Ano Korakiana before taking a narrow winding road passing through Sokraki one of oldest villages on the island, perched on a mountain peak and surrounded by pine and olive trees. The tour will then continues along a mountain ridge with a panoramic view of the islands Mathraki and Othoni -the northwestern part of Greece- towards the village of Troumbetta. From Troumbetta you will follow a narrow country lane in a westerly direction passing by the villages of Alimatades, Vistonas and Makrades before stopping at "Castellino" restaurant located high up in the village of Lakones renowned for
its spectacular panorama over the bay of Paleokastritsa. Here you will have the opportunity to indulge in a typical Greek meze and a glass of wine. From Lakones, you will go down to Paleokastritsa bay, also known as "Corfu's Capri": a natural harbour with a sandy beach that is entirely protected by a rocky cliff. According to mythology, this is the bay where Odysseus was shipwrecked and where he met Nausica. Each jeep can accommodate 4 passengers. A valid driver's license is required. Order of the walking and bus tours may be reversed. Drivers must have a valid driving licence at least 3 years old and must be over the age of 23. For security reasons the minimum age required is 4 years. Please be advised that all jeeps are manual drive (“stick shift”) and not automatic. For no EU guests an international license is required.
