Rising majestically above Greek Macedonia and Thessaly, Mount Olympus is not only Greece’s highest mountain but also one of the most celebrated landmarks of ancient Greek mythology.

As the first golden rays of sunlight illuminate the horizon, enjoy the extraordinary sensation of floating peacefully above the surrounding countryside, with spectacular views of the legendary mountain, weather and flight conditions permitting.

Mount Olympus — Where Greek Mythology Meets History.

For thousands of years, Mount Olympus has captured the imagination of travelers, poets, and historians.

In ancient Greek mythology, its majestic peaks were believed to be the dwelling place of Zeus, king of the gods, and the divine home of the Olympian deities. Celebrated in Homer’s epic tradition, Olympus remains a powerful symbol of Greece’s timeless cultural heritage.

At the mountain’s foot lies Ancient Dion, the sacred city of the Macedonians, where magnificent temples and sanctuaries honored Zeus and other Greek gods.

Here, Alexander the Great offered sacrifices to Zeus before embarking on his legendary campaign against the Persian Empire in 334 BC, linking this extraordinary landscape to one of ancient Greek history’s most remarkable chapters.

Today, Mount Olympus’s majestic scenery offers an inspiring setting for an unforgettable aerial adventure.
