Your journey begins from your resort as we head toward the elegant UNESCO-listed Corfu Town, strongly influenced by Venetian architecture and history. After a short exploration of the old town, we continue to Kanoni, where you will enjoy the island’s most iconic panoramic views over Mouse Island (Pontikonisi) and the picturesque Vlacherna Monastery.
The tour continues with a visit to the magnificent Achilleion Palace, built by Empress Elisabeth of Austria, famously known as “Sisi.” Explore the palace museum dedicated to Empress Elisabeth and Kaiser Wilhelm II, stroll through the impressive gardens, and admire the statues inspired by Greek mythology during your guided visit.
Next, enjoy a stop at a traditional distillery to sample Corfu’s famous Kumquat liqueur and other local spirits.
We then travel through the island’s lush countryside toward Paleokastritsa, one of Corfu’s most beautiful and popular coastal resorts. Visit the historic 13th-century Greek Orthodox monastery and enjoy free time for lunch, swimming, or an optional boat trip to the famous sea caves and crystal-clear turquoise waters.
Our route continues to Bella Vista, which renowned author Lawrence Durrell described as offering one of the most spectacular views in the Mediterranean. We then stop at the traditional village of Makrades, where you can browse local products including olive oil, honey, spices, olive wood crafts, and authentic Corfiot souvenirs.
The tour continues to the charming fishing village of Kassiopi, where you can enjoy coffee and relaxation by the waterfront. Driving along the stunning northeastern coastline, we stop at the postcard-perfect villages of Kouloura and Kalami for photographs. Kalami is also famous as the place where Lawrence Durrell once lived with his family and offers magnificent views of the Albanian coastline.
